Is sanitary waste disposal a legal requirement?
Yes. Sanitary waste is classed as offensive waste and cannot go into general waste. Employers must provide suitable disposal under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992, and hold a duty of care record of its disposal under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
How often are units serviced?
Every four weeks as standard. Higher-traffic sites are usually on a two-weekly rota. We will recommend a frequency based on your fill rates after the first few visits.
Why do our washrooms smell even after cleaning?
Almost always drains and urinal traps rather than surfaces. Uric scale builds inside the pipework and releases odour continuously. It needs biological treatment at source — air fresheners only mask it.
Can you supply the dispensers as well?
Yes. We supply, install and maintain dispensers for tissue, hand towels, soap and sanitiser as part of the service, so the consumables and the hardware always match.
